As some of our customers may have noticed, we’re no longer providing inexpensive shipping quotes with Canada Post.
Due to the ongoing labour dispute between Canada Post Corporation and the Canadian postal workers union, where there could be a strike or lockout on July 2nd, 2016; we will be unable to ship using Canad Post’s services such as small packet air and tracked packet for the time being.
We will be shipping our remaining Canada Post orders today and tomorrow and they should have more than enough time to leave the country before they’re affected by any disruption. Suspending Canada Post as a shipping method is necessary lest we have orders trapped within their system for weeks.
For the time being, we have implemented UPS for shipping our orders and we are also applying a $5 CAD discount on UPS shipping to ease the increased shipping cost to our USA-based customers. We realize that international shipping outside North America will be expensive for now, but this is the best we can offer outside of the national mail service. We are also exploring a volume discount with UPS which will further ease the cost, and we’ll announce it as soon as it becomes available. We apologize for the inconvenience this causes, we will continue to make and ship orders throughout this time.
As for an estimate on how long this will last for, the last work stoppage in 2011 lasted for 3 weeks until the Canadian government led by Stephen Harper passed back to work legislation, which was later found to be illegal. This time around, we don’t know how long it will last.
After too long of a time since we’ve last uploaded a new video, we’ve started shooting and editing new applications lately and we finally have something new to share!
It’s a tutorial explaining how to apply foam latex prosthetics when you have facial hair such as a beard and/or a mustache… all without shaving it off! Check it out, and let us know if there are any other topics you’d like to see us cover.
The holidays are coming up fast. There’s still time to get your Grinches, reindeer and other pieces for your pageants, parades and plays. Faster shipping options are available to meet your dates.
Also we’ve reached the time of the year where we’ve needed to disable Pros-Aid adhesive, liquid latex, cabo-patch and pax paint. With freezing temperatures, these items can be ruined if they’re frozen in transit, so they won’t be available again until the spring. We apologize for any inconvenience, but we just cannot control the seasons.
We’re pleased to debut two new bird beaks this Friday!
First up is our new “Small Eagle / Hawk Beak”, which is a replacement for our older “Hawk Beak.” It’s a new version which has far more detail and a much more defined shape, making it perfect for all sorts of raptor birds (birds of prey)
Second is an all-new piece, “Small Duck Bill”. We finally made a quacker for your face. This beak is broad and flat, perfect for realistic or cartoon ducks of all sorts.
We have several other beaks underway and plan to make several more. Keep an eye out for a Crow/ Raven Beak, Owl Beak and Large Eagle / Hawk Beak soon!
Halloween is fast approaching, it’ll be here in 17 days! There’s still time to place orders. We can ship worldwide in time for October 31st; simply use faster shipping methods.
In other news, it’s been a while since we’ve had the time to make new pieces. With changing over our production molds to resin from plaster, increasing their lifespans significantly, we now have more time to dedicate towards sculpting new pieces. We have several pieces underway at the moment, some are half done, some just starting out.
For this update, we have a new Bulldog Face! It’s a huge piece with alot of character, perfect for anyone wanting a bulldog or mastiff face. We’ll be sure to take some application photos and videos after the Halloween season is over. For now we’ve painted it up in browns and black as an example.
Halloween season is upon us and it is always a very busy time of the year.
To kick things off, to go along with our new site, we’ve started doing more prosthetic application photos, such as this demonic Krampus – like goat we’ve put together with our Sheep / Goat Nose and 3″ Horns.
Our Sheep / Goat Nose applied & painted.
As always with Halloween, we strongly encourage everyone to order early to avoid any last minute rush. As time goes on, shipping methods and costs will go up. For example, orders shipped after October 19th will need a faster method than Small Packet Air to ensure a Halloween delivery.
Also during this time of the year, although we can customize existing prosthetic pieces, we won’t have time to sculpt all-new pieces for those thinking of requesting a custom sculpture to be made.
Have a fun and spooky time this Halloween with our noses!
Good evening everyone!
Well, some of you may have had problems with getting shipping rates these past few days with our cart.
Canada Post did some server upgrades over the 21-23 of August and since then several types of shopping carts have been having errors and problems with some of the changes Canada Post made. We’ve put in a fix to our cart so it can display and give out shipping rates, but it may end up being temporary if Canada Post decides to change anything else on its end.
Please feel free to contact us if you’re having difficulty checking out from not getting proper shipping results.
As you may have seen, our site has been completely updated.
We’ve been working on this update for several months now and we’re pleased to launch today. Some of the changes are pretty major, we’re now mobile-friendly and can be viewed easily on smartphones and tablets. We have a new layout with the cart and main site all integrated into one. The gallery has been overhauled as well as how our items are organized and arranged. Updated code make viewing photos and videos a breeze.
We encourage our customers, old and new, to browse and view all the changes, though if there are any bugs or problems, please contact us and let us know of the issues.
We’ll be gradually adding more new items in the coming weeks. Our Twitter Feed is updated frequently with photos of orders and ongoing projects and is a good way to keep up.
