Chit Chats Shipping Now Available

Chit Chats Shipping Now Available

We've had to pivot to a new carrier called Chit Chats not only dodge IEEPA tariffs but to also dodge a Canada Post strike.

To our American customers,

No more tariffs (we hope! for now at least.)

At least for now, with using Chit Chats to ship our packages to the U.S., we can provide CUSMA / USMCA certificates to have our packages cross into the USA, and be accepted by CBP without needing to pay the IEEPA 35% tariffs.

We had some test shipments sent out a week ago and they crossed the border without issue and are now in USPS's hands for delivery in the USA, all without needing to pay for the tariffs.

This should work for now. Please keep in mind that the Chit Chats shipping method is by no means "fast", they still take 1-2 weeks to be delivered. It takes anywhere from 3-5 days to clear across the border, then it's up to USPS to handle the rest. If you need fast shipping, at this time due to the CUPW strike, we would need to use UPS or FedEx which are generally very expensive, easily over $120 CAD for our tiny boxes. Please contact us for a quote if you need to use a faster shipping method.  Order early for Halloween!  We may need to implement a cut-off for Halloween orders by mid-October.

To all our customers,

On Thursday September 25th, CUPW (Canadian Union of Postal Workers) went on strike.  We can no longer use Canada Post for shipping to anywhere.  Thankfully none of our orders are "trapped" in Canada Post's network. We have no idea how long this strike may last.

We will be using Chit Chats to ship all our current orders.

The good news is that with ChitChats, we can continue to ship within Canada to most metropolitan areas, to the USA, and to many International Locations. We've hastily set up flat rate shipping for ChitChats. For our International customers, please keep in mind that this method of shipping will be a bit slow, between 9-32 business days, it is the only cost-effective solution we have at the moment. FedEx and UPS are well around $200 CAD for our small boxes which isn't a realistic price to pay for shipping.
