USA Shipping & Tariffs - round 2

To our American customers,
On August 19, 2026, we will be forced to collect and remit a new tariff on all USA-bound orders. On July 20th 2026 the Trump administration has decided to no longer abide by CUSMA/USMCA and to force most imports from Canada to be subject to a 50% tax. Remember, a tariff is a tax.
Our HTS code of 9505906000 is among the list of hundreds of codes affected by the Section 338 tariff.
We are forced to collect and remit a 50% tax to CPB to allow our packages across the border. We are forced to work as customs agents - a job that normally CPB would be responsible to do.
Effective immediately, when checking out with the cart, after a US shipping address is entered, the cart will add the 50% tax on the tax line to the order. We have implemented this change today, August 13th, as there is no more time to ensure orders can get across the border before August 19th.
We will absorb the brokerage fees (roughly 10% of the tariffed amount)
We will continue to ship with ChitChats to continue to file CUSMA/USMCA certificates so that our items aren't subject to the current Section 301 tariff of 10%. These tariffs would have otherwise stacked to make it a whopping 60%.
If the Section 338 tariff is rescinded before August 19th, we will refund any overages paid for it.
Thank you for understanding, and for continuing to support independent artists across borders. Every order you place helps keep small makers like us going despite these barriers.
