This is our Salmon Muzzle. Like most of our pieces, this prosthetic appliance was made to fit most faces. The main picture is the hot foam latex version applied and painted with PAX paint.
This muzzle is a bit short, protruding about 7cm (2.75") from your upper lip when applied. It has a low jawline and has a big bottom lip that sticks out further than the top part of the snout. It has places inside the mouth for 20 plastic teeth which are included. It has a fish scale texture all over. There's no forehead to this piece like with most of our pieces as we don't want to create a specific expression. So you can add a sorrowful brow or evil brow for completely different looks. This muzzle is ideally used for a salmon; that's what it was modeled after, however with different colours it can be used many different types of fish. It is in two pieces and comes with 20 plastic teeth.
The default price includes one unpainted (blank) Salmon Muzzle prosthetic in hot foam latex with 20 plastic teeth.
You can choose which material you'd like it made in by selecting it above. It is available in slush cast latex and hot foam latex. Visit our FAQ for the differences between these materials.
To finish it, you can paint it with makeup, or pax paint, to make it resemble a salmon or other fish. For a shiny finish, consider experimenting with metallic makeups, paints or powders. Add some wig hair to mimic a fin on the head, there are so many ways this piece can be finished.

Contact lenses, brows or other prosthetic pieces other than the Salmon Muzzle that are shown are not included in pricing. Combining the Salmon Muzzle with different forehead pieces can give it a whole different look. Some of the above photos feature our Neutral Brow.
Options:
- Optional Single Colour Paint: We will spray ONE single colour of PAX paint over the entire prosthetic as a base coat. Enter ONE colour in the single colour paint field. For example: "metallic peridot green." This option requires 1 to 2 days for production time.
- Optional Full Custom Paint: We will fully paint and detail the piece with multiple colours and shading, using PAX paints. Enter a detailed description in the full custom paint field. For example: "A natural sockeye salmon. Metallic dark blue-grey and light peridot green muzzle with white chin and a dusty rose inside the mouth." You can also e-mail us an image or send links to reference pictures. This option requires 2 to 4 days for production time.
